Lamb Shanks Recipe
4 lamb shanks, 1 tablespoon olive oil , 1 large onion thinly sliced, 2 tablespoons plain flour, 600 mL chicken stock, 150 mL white wine, 4 bay leaves, 2 teaspoons honey, Salt and pepper
Heat oil in frying pan and brown shanks on all sides.
Transfer shanks to a casserole dish.
Re-heat pan and add onion, stirring, for 5 minutes and then add coriander seeds and cook for 1 minute.
Stir in the flour and add the stock, wine, bay leaves and honey.
Season with salt and pepper and bring to the boil and pour over lamb
Bring to the boil and pour over lamb.
Cover with lid and cook at 150C for 6 hours
