Rock Valley Veal Backstrap is naturally lean and tender and a 5 star choice for a delicious, mouth-watering treat.

Delicate and succulent our veal backstrap is positively, meat at its finest.

Our veal backstraps are succulent in taste and absorb flavourings perfectly.

Backstrap is prepared from a Side and consists of the eye muscle lying along the spinous and transverse processes of the lumbar, thoracic and cervical vertebrae.

We prepare our backstraps at variable lengths according to the buyer’s needs.

Naturally lean and very tender our backstraps are a meat lover’s delight.

With its delicate flavour it is perfectly suited to lightly flavoured dishes and are delicious when marinated for a couple of hours in olive oil, grated black peppercorns and sea salt.

mix eggs, mustard, cornichons & capers

then add salt, pepper and oil


shots of chat potatoes

mandolin finely

heat oil to 180 degrees

drop into oil cook until golden brown

mix though salt and spray on vinegar

Grange Foods is the only online meat retailer in Australia which is completely vertically integrated throughout the supply chain owning and operating our own farms, processing centers, nationwide cold storage centers, as well as our own wholesale and retail distribution network.

At our farms we carefully breed and raise the cattle in the most natural and sustainable way, hormone free and MSA compliant, before transporting them directly to one of our processing facilities for packaging. From there the meat is transported with our own refrigerated trucks to one of our inner city cold storage centers for next day deliver to your plate.
